I’m Sara Rose Danesi, Psy.D. (she/her), a clinical psychologist and author of life beyond shopping. As someone who was burdened by the anxiety, shame, and financial consequences of a shopping addiction, I understand how difficult it is to break free from the spell of consumerism.

In 2019 I started this blog [1]formerly named FITE addiction to chronicle my strategies and thoughts on recovering from a shopping addiction as I strove for Financial Independence (FI). Unexpectedly, the process of blogging revealed the missing fundamental piece to shopping addiction recovery. That is, creativity.

My hope is to reach kindred souls who want to live a life beyond shopping.
